Improvements for people with autism spectrum in commercial facilities

Shopping centers offer an ever richer commercial offer, develop entertainment and gastronomy zones, or organize special events. However, among the owners of shopping centers, awareness of the needs of disabled people is also growing.

Galeria Katowicka, a shopping center where we've implemented the design of the Empik store, introduced the so-called "quiet hours". Every Saturday, between 9:00 am and 11:00 am, music and advertising messages will be turned off in the common part of the gallery.

In addition, there is a "peace room", which people with the autism spectrum can use. It is a room dedicated to people with disabilities who, due to the plethora of stimuli, need a place to relieve tension and deal with emotions.

OTOMI Store Design Lab, aware of the needs of its customers, participates in trainings for interior design for people with disabilities. Thanks to our extensive experience in the field of commercial interior design, we are able to transform customer needs into store designs in shopping centers.
